Can every casual employee get 8% holiday pay?
No. The work must genuinely qualify, such as irregular or intermittent work where providing 4 weeks annual holidays is impracticable, or a fixed-term agreement of less than 12 months.
What if the employee has worked for 12 months?
After 12 months, employees become entitled to 4 weeks annual holidays. Payment for entitled leave uses the greater of ordinary weekly pay or average weekly earnings.
