How to Play
- 1Step 1: Look at where the target alien ship is in the sky.
- 2Step 2: Estimate the angle from the cannon to the target (straight right is 0°, straight up is 90°, straight left is 180°).
- 3Step 3: Type your estimated angle into the input box.
- 4Step 4: Click FIRE! to launch a cannonball.
- 5Step 5: If you are within 5 degrees, you score a HIT! Otherwise, use the feedback (Too High or Too Low) to correct your aim.
Rules
- The base ground line goes from 0° (right) to 180° (left).
- You must get within ±5° of the exact target angle to score a hit.
- In Easy mode, a faint dotted protractor line appears to help you gauge the angle.
- In Hard mode, you must estimate the angle entirely by eye!

“Remember your key angles: straight up is exactly 90°. Halfway between the right ground and straight up is 45°. Halfway between straight up and the left ground is 135°. Use these as anchor points to estimate any target!”

Estimating an Obtuse Angle
The target is past straight up (90°) but not quite halfway to the left ground (135°). What might it be?
- 1Recognize that straight up is 90°.
- 2Recognize that halfway between 90° and 180° is 135°.
- 3If the target is between 90° and 135°, maybe it is around 110° or 120°.
- 4Try typing 115° and clicking FIRE to see if you are close!
