Formula
Each event is mapped into an approximate 0 to 100 score using simplified reference performance bands.
Worked Example
Understanding the ACFT Six-Event Fitness Test
- 3 Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL): tests lower body and grip strength with a hex bar deadlift
- Standing Power Throw (SPT): measures explosive power by throwing a 10-pound medicine ball backward overhead
- Hand-Release Push-Ups (HRPU): tests upper body muscular endurance with a full chest-to-ground reset between each rep
- Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC): a shuttle course combining sprints, sled drags, lateral shuffles, and kettlebell carries
- Plank: tests core endurance by holding a forearm plank position for time
- Two-Mile Run: measures aerobic endurance, the traditional cardio component carried over from the APFT
Each event is scored on a 0 to 100 point scale, with 60 points being the minimum per event. The maximum total score is 600.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this an official ACFT score result?
No. This calculator provides an approximate estimate using simplified scoring bands. Official scoring uses the current Army scoring tables which may include age and gender adjustments.
What is the minimum ACFT score to pass?
The minimum passing score is 60 points per event, for a total minimum of 360 out of 600. Failing any single event below 60 results in an overall failure regardless of your total.
Which ACFT event do soldiers struggle with most?
The Sprint-Drag-Carry and the Two-Mile Run are often the most challenging events. The SDC requires a combination of speed, strength, and conditioning that many soldiers need to train specifically for.
How often do soldiers take the ACFT?
The ACFT is administered at least twice per year as a record test. Units may conduct diagnostic tests more frequently for training purposes.
Does age affect ACFT scoring?
Current ACFT policy includes age and gender performance categories. This calculator uses simplified bands, so check official scoring tables for your specific demographic group.
